WHAT IS SOLAR ROOFTOP?

A Solar Rooftop system generates electricity by harnessing solar energy through panels installed on the rooftops of factories, malls, or distribution centers. The solar panels convert sunlight into direct current (DC), which is then transformed into alternating current (AC) by an inverter which is ready for immediate use with electrical appliances. This system operates in parallel with the electricity grid, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted power supply.

HOW SOLAR ROOFTOPS WORK

The working principle of a solar rooftop system begins with solar panels installed on the roof, which capture sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC). This DC electricity is then sent to an inverter, which converts it into alternating current (AC), the standard form of electricity used by most commercial and industrial appliances. The AC power is then distributed through the building’s electrical control panel to various devices.

In on-grid systems, solar energy is prioritized for use, while the system remains connected to the main electricity grid to ensure uninterrupted supply. Off-grid and hybrid systems, on the other hand, store excess energy in batteries, for use during periods without sunlight.
